In short: Great support from marshals and locals in the awful weather
In full: I didn't really enjoy the race but that was down to the weather rather than the actual race! I found the off road sections difficult in the wet but on a dry day they wouldn't have slowed me down! I hardly noticed the hills and did manage a PB! The well done really has to be to the marshalls and locals that braved it to support! I was very pleased to see the finish!!!

In short: scenic set of trail races with a distance to suit all!
In full: I did the 50k and found it to be really well marked, the water stations were plentiful, it was well organised, great value, would definately do it again

In short: great scenic off road marathon
In full: I really enjoy this race, however bad things get the views make up for it! The race runs really smoothly from parking your car at the start to finishing! A couple of niggles though, although the t-shirts were a vast improvement on last years why were there no smalls sizes? I finished in the top 50% and was awarded a dress at the end, I don't have alot of use for a technical dress!!! The other small thing was that it might have been better to keep the tops on the bottles for competitors otherwise you may as well just use cups. I fell over with a full bottle and lost the lot towards the end of the race and had to struggle 4 miles to QE park with no fluids, fortunately it wasn't a hot day!

In short: lovely race but tough on all that soft sand that went on for miles!
In full: well organised tough race (my slowest marathon yet), a larger pool of runners would have added to the atmosphere and made the course easier to negotiate! Still I found a few people to plod around with, everyone was very friendly! Some of the course was quite hard to work out where to go and I believe some runners may have got lost! The aid stations were brilliantly stocked and I looked forward to my cup of coke at each one!!! Excellent quality T-shirt and medal at the end too, even if it did say 2012!

In short: Great race
In full: I love this race, stunning scenery, great atmosphere (apart from one stroppy mountain biker), great organisation and some lovely hills! This year the weather couldn't have been more perfect! The only disappointment was the cotton t-shirt, I too was expecting a technical top!

In short: Great race through stunning scenery, ran really smoothly. Would have prefered an earlier start time as running in the midday sun was really hard work!
