In short: Great atmosphere and organisation. Definitely do again In full: This was my 3rd go at a half marathon and I thought the organisation and atmosphere were excellent. Just the right amount of water stations and even some lucozade left for the slower runners. Toilets all the way round....typical I didn't need them this time! Support was amazing, even on quieter spots there were people encouraging me on. Only negative was that I got there early as per the info but probably could of arrived much later. Definitely will be back .though....thank you Bath Date of review: March 10, 2011
In short: Great atmosphere and organisation. Definitely do again In full: I really enjoyed this one. The scenery was beautiful. Shame I could stop to look at Cooling Castle. There was plenty of water for a very hot day and all the marshalls were great. Will definitely have another go next year and hopefully it will be a bit cooler. Date of review: July 11, 2010
In short: Great 1st Half Marathon In full: This was my 1st Half and I'd been warned how hard the hills were. Maybe because of this I didn't find it quite so bad as I thought it would be. The crowd were fantastic, the marshalls did a great job as did the scouts at the water stations. Only one negative - I was bursting for the loo most of the way round. Thought there might have been a portaloo somewhere !!!! Never mind, it probably made me fun faster to get to the finish anyway....
Definitely going to be back next year to improve my time and beat the hills. Date of review: March 22, 2010
In short: Tough terrain in places - lovely scenery In full: As a first timer this wasn't as bad as I thought is would be. The terrain was varied - down hills, up hills(one big one about 1k long that you had to walk as most other runners were walking), woodland and lumpy fields that I nearly broke my ankle on. Glad I took my own water as runners were waiting while cups were poured out. Great crowd cheering me on to run the last hill just before the finish. Would definitely do again just to see if I could run the big hill next time and improve on my 70mins time. Brilliant scenery and lovely to run past the castle. Date of review: September 28, 2009
