In short: Great warm-up for the marathon, confidence-giving!
In full: I really enjoyed this race, the marshalls and police were supportive, the weather was great and the support from the locals was really appreciated. This was my first 20 miler, my longest training run before the London Marathon later this month. It gave me a lot more confidence with long distances after months of gruelling long runs alone in the rain! Although I enjoyed the race, I was disappointed at the lack of mile markers which had been promised as i was heavily relying on them! There could have been more toilets at the start, i was late starting the race as the queue was so long and not all the toilets were in useable condition. I was expecting some kind of goody bag at the end, but was grateful for the water station. The medal isnt the best quality i've had, but its definately one im most proud of, 20 miles being a massive milestone for me. I would recommend this race as a good training run for the london marathon.

In short: A great challenge. Very friendly supportive marshals with jelly babies!
In full: This was the first organised half marathon i have attempted. All in all it was a good experience! Very muddy after mile 8, i didnt think the mud and puddles were ever going to end! I enjoyed the scenery though, more so as i havent seen Portsmouth past Gunwharf Quays!
It would have been good to have a few more toilets at the start. I arrived 30 mins before the start but was late starting the race as the loo queue was huge.
