In short: A must do in my running calendar In full: 6th time I've completed this race, it seems to get harder every year, even without the steps. Weather was harsh, hot and windy, but the team are really friendly and very welcoming. Would recommend this one, especially if you run as a small group. Very well organised. In short: Great support from Marshalls, can't be faulted for that.. In full: Very friendly team, but 6 laps is tiresome and having time yourself does make me question the fee for entering. Was told that timing chips are too expensive, but it's nice to be able to acurately record your time. If you're looking for a no frills run out, this is for you. Date of review: April 13, 2015
In short: Brillaint race, a must do for everyone! In full: third time of running this race and it does get better each year. The hills are demanding, but that's a reason to run it. The people of Birmingham come out on mass to support this race every year with the usual Brummie banter and handfulls of jelly babies. Date of review: October 24, 2013
In short: Friendly Half with a few hills to keep it interesting In full: Nice run out on a bank holiday. Agree that the start wasn't great, walked through the start line as was very overcrowded, but after the first mile managed to get into my running.
Great amount of support along what is a very rural course, each village turned out to cheer people on which was nice.
Could do with more water stations and sponges to be able to cool daown as it was a warm one, but warnings were out for that a few days before.
Overall a nice friendly run which I will do again. Nice organisation. Date of review: May 14, 2013
