In short: An excellent 5 mile race even for a plodder like me!
In full: This was my first time at this race, thought the organisation was good, course challenging in places and very good value for money. Loved the scenery and atmosphere. Would rate this as one of the best rest races I have done in recent in years and would be back again!

In full: This was my first half marathon. Found the course quite tough and glad I was wearing trail shoes! All in all enjoyed the experience and will be back again. Thought the organisation was good, scenery absolutely beautiful and mashalls very encouraging. Might be a small race but even for first timer felt it was very welcoming.

In short: Good Fun Race
In full: Good Fun Race for a good cause. Plenty of amusement seeing all the Santa's running. It was nice that my 9 old daughter could also take part in the run. Well done BHF for putting together a family event to end the year.

In short: Great Race, good support
In full: This was my first 10 mile race and loved the support and atmosphere on the way round. Found the last two miles pretty tough along the sea front due to the windy conditions.
With regards to travelling:
I travelled along way for this and stayed at a hotel just 4 miles from Southsea the night before - and it took nearly an hour to get the car park at Southsea on the Sunday morning.

The carpark was a real 'mare' to get out of at the end -we delayed our exit by 2 hours and it took 1.30 hours as we had to get out as due to distance we needed to get away.

Next year I will stay at a hotel in the centre of Portsmouth and avoid this problem.

All in enjoyed the race but felt let down by the car parking debacle at the end.

In short: Good run if seeking a nice flat course and seeking a PB.
In full: Good 5K run, if you don't like hills and looking to get a PB. Did'nt attract a large field and therefore lacked a bit of of atmosphere as a result. Bit disappointed you only get a medal if you complete the series, which I don't think was made clear (even the RW makes reference. Not everyone can complete the series bearing in mind the final run in the series is in the school holidays. Therefore in comparison to other local runs thought this was over priced.

In short: Good organisation, goody bag and medal. Not so keen on the hilllsw
In full: Decided to do this one as near my old home town. However had forgotten about the hills in this area and that Bluewater had been built in an old chalk pit so you were hit with hills to get out of it and back in. Not the most awe inspiring scenery in the world and the last stretch along the London Road became a bit tedious with the ups and downs. The positives were, good organisation, water stations at key points, good coolmax shirt and medal and early start to avoid the heat. In general if you don't mind running in very urban areas this ones for you. Not my bag I am afraid as prefer a bit of country to run through.

In short: Well Organised Race, will be back again!
In full: I thought the organisation of this was very good, with even all the car parks in Flitwick being well sign posted by the organisers. Thought the marshalls and motor bikes outriders were very good as they provided some encouraging support. Although the route was not traffic free, the main parts of the course were down some very quiet country lanes. My only gripe being a 'plodder' at the back all the sports drinks had gone. All in all a good race even if you are not a club runner.
