In short: 6.5 mile XC race with a good few inclines!
In full: Good event, however marshalling needs to be improved "first two" runners in where disqualfied as they had managed to stray from the course and loose about a mile of it. The course takes you over Croft hill a few times, this is quite a steep incline and certainly knocks the wind out of you. Course also takes you through a stream towards the end of the race, in 1'c temps this certainly wakes you up!! Good course if you want to finish highly, the race doesn't atract to many serious atheletes as it falls close to county XC, so featuring highly is a possibility, came 4th without stretching myself to much.

Soup and cob served at finish - I'll be back in 2011!

In short: Quick but some niggles
In full: I ran the half and found it to be overall a good race, with a posotive atmosphere. Good flat route, and with a strong PB material. However the marshalls need to be abit more switched on, I once had to shout to find out if it I was going right or straight on, I also turned about 10m down the wrong route cost valuable time. Well done to the Cadet force but it would be nice to know which of the cups had water and which had a sports tonic. Overall though I would run it again, came in with a decentish time of 1hr21 but could of easily been sub 1hr20 with the niggles ironed out. Oh and the final mile is a cruel up hill slog.
