In short: Interesting route (*4 laps) with excellent marshals In full: It really was a wet morning which made the marshal's job all the harder and I was so appreciative of their efforts - they really made the race.
Despite the undulating nature of the course it was still pretty fast. I enjoyed this race very much and would definitely do it again.
I was running 7:50 min miles and was expecting to get lapped at some point but not on the 2nd lap - v impressive running by the leading pair..... Date of review: March 21, 2013

In short: Hilly 10k In full: Really enjoyed this race. The venue was perfect and the finishing straight is magnificent. Contrary to other comments, I am happy with mile markers on a 10k race although can see how some would find it annoying. On that note, my Garmin matched bang on with the distance so that was a good thing. Pretty serious hills although the downhills were perfect for getting a nice fast pace up over some distance (I recorded my fastest ever outdoor mile for the second mile). Managed a PB and will be interested to see if I can reduce further on a flatter course. Date of review: February 9, 2010

In short: A very tough race which I really enjoyed (although didn't realise at the time) In full: Was in Cornwall for a week and stumbled across this race whilst trying to find something to do on the Sunday.
There was a good atmosphere and Rob Cockings the event organiser did a great job of organising, including giving a good summary of route to the 120 or so runners at start line - although despite mentioning the three hills to finish, don't think he fully conveyed quite how tough they would be!!! :)
It was a very sunny morning and depite much of the course being down country lanes offering good shade I could have done with it being a bit cooler. There were two water stations on route although I find it impossible to drink from cups of water whilst running.
Overall, great experience and made for a great start to my holiday in Cornwall. Date of review: September 22, 2009
