In short: Fantastic race.. made me remember why I like running so much.. In full: First time to the island, and will be recommending this to all the runners I know. Superb small event, with a friendly atmosphere and a bar with free food at the end (oh, and a bus to take you back to Douglas)... who could ask for more.... oh and a cheer as you entered the football stadium.
Well done IOM vets. Date of review: August 13, 2007

In short: Top race... In full: A bargain race with a t shirt, medal, powerade drink, lots of water, championchip timing...free trains.. all for under a tenner... compared to some races I have done recently like the Stratford Marathon which I know is a lot longer (but 2 laps) and was twenty odd quid with no t-shirt - no energy drinks (even for a marathon)... Ricky Tomlinson IS a legend.... Well done Liverpool - just a shame more scousers couldn't be bothered to get out of bed and cheer us on...(bit lonely).. Date of review: June 3, 2007

In short: love this race!!! In full: Really appreciate the support. Good field, bit worried about a few I saw collapsed... think the heat in the latter stages got to a few. Some people went off too fast I think. Really great support from crowds.. gave me a real buzz.... will be back next year. Thanks to all the great marshalls, you were great! In short: nice race - good course and nice sized crowd In full: Good start - dull second lap with little support - excellent marshalls - good organisation - expensive race for just a medal - quite liked the greenway on second lap but no support at all and had to dodge too many cyclists (could it be kept closed just for one day!?) In short: Excellent 10k, good pb potential In full: Great bunch of people, very friendly. For a first time race the organisation would put some city races to shame. Loads of marshalls. Nice route, some off road, rest on country lanes. Mostly flat (very slight undulations). So impressed considering joining the club as a 2nd claim member. Well done folks. In short: A real challenge... but makes it all the more rewarding! In full: Not for people who like the flat. Long drag for first half, then downhill, and a last mile up hill drag. Makes my legs ache thinking about it.. Great value, great rucksack as momento.. will do it again next year... Date of review: September 4, 2005
