In short: Mud, hills, excellent atmosphere, I'll definitely be coming back for more!
In full: Lots of mud and a crazy hill at the end but it's a really fun run with people of all fitness levels. You get a t-shirt and free pint at the end too! Was gutted I couldn't run it in 2010 due to an injury but having gone with my mates on race day I remembered how much fun it was in 2009! I'll definitely be back next year to take it on again!

In short: Stunning scenery, excellent support, loads of mud!!!
In full: This half-marathon was amazing! There was more mud than I've ever seen before in my life and I fell over twice but I loved every second of it! I normally can't run more than 2 miles without my iPod but this race was so mentally stimulating (with trying avoid slipping in the mud, running into a tree,
tripping over a rock or running into a herd of confused sheep) that I didn't even think about it!

The support was fantastic too. I very unfortunately got lost on the way to Devon and ended up starting half an hour late so didn't see anyone for the first 6 miles but the support from the locals and other people I saw along the way really helped me to keep going! It was organised supurbly and everyone was really friendly. I'll definitely be doing this run again next year and I'm already looking forward to the next stage in Pembroke!
