In short: Muddy but what a wonderful race!
In full: I wasn't anticpating so much mud however despite being absolutely caked in the stuff I loved this race.
I didn't beat my PB but I blame that on lack of training and puddle dodging :) However I know the course has the potential to set great PB's,
The hills are gentle with some great downhills to pick up your pace especially at the end towards the finish line.
Overall I loved it, it really made my moving to Edwinstowe worth it! See you all again next time :)

In short: Worthwhile with a professional feel
In full: A great race especailly for first timers, offers good experience with hills and sharp bends. No real problems excellent for PB i smashed my previous by 5 minutes so I was very pleased!
Marshalls were helpful and positive. My only concerns were the water points my partner felt it came to soon for him whereas I would have preferred another around the 7.5 mark and had 2. I quite liked the goody bag I wasn't expecting one at all and I love the t-shirts! I wasn't at all bothered that it cost 2 raffle tickets they are good quality shirts :)

Definately worth keeping on the calender, just be aware of the need to turn up early to collect race number and chip don't leave it to late or you'll be rushing around

In short: Don't let the hills get the better of you!
In full: What a course!

I'd read about the hills but nothing could prepare me for them! They appeared around the 4 mile mark and persisted until around 5/ 5.5 mile mark. Although some were tough the declines proved equally tricky with some steep declines.
However, disregarding the hills for a second it was a great race, but I'm saying that the day after had you asked me when I crossed the finish my response would have been less than positive. I'm eager now to get back next year and improve my time for me its not PB material not unless your a highly experienced runner.

My best advice is take it steady... don't make a mad dash at the start or you'll burn out.

In short: Lovely run for a first timer!
In full: I really enjoyed this run and it was 100% worth trying out having never run a race and having only trained for a week I was sooo pleased with my time! I'll be back next year to beat it!
