In short: Good race for those that like flat courses
In full: Always nice to return to my hometown and run past Valley Parade. The course isn't the most scenic in the world, but the start and finish in Centenary square is quite uplifting. Very nice technical T shirt on offer. Don't know how they will go on once work starts on the hole in the ground though. Will be back next year.

In short: Very nice setting, very warm morning
In full: Overall the race is quite good, but a few hiccups with race number collection and toilet queues delayed the start 10 mins. Course is quite flat on farm tracks and the like. Thought the goody bag was a bit lacking, but hey ho. The actual setting for the race is extremely nice and a game of cricket to watch at the end.

In short: Seemed more ups than downs, but a good race.
In full: One minute silence was reasonably well observed, although those at the back probably didn't hear the announcer. Should have used his megaphone. The race itself is challenging without being suicidal, and we appeared to be going uphill a lot more than we did down. Overall a very decent race and one for the calendar for next year.

In short: Good race on another warm day in Harrogate
In full: Have done this race a few times now and thought this course is probably one of the best they have come up with, but did seem longer than 10k to me, based on my time.

In short: Quite a bit tougher than I imagined
In full: Quite a tough run for the first 5km, especially with the head wind. Not made my mind up about out and back races, but seeing the front runners is quite nice for a change. Overall nothing special.

In short: A very well organised event, definite PB potential
In full: Being a Bradford lad, it is always nice to go back and do the race. The centre is a bit depressing these days, but the race atmosphere makes up for that. Overall a very well organised race with a great finish in Centenary Square, very supportive marshals, but time to change the T shirt. Looking forward to the 10 miler in October.

In short: Oh those hills, seemed more up than down.
In full: First time at Meltham, and although got round in one piece, I thought it was a very difficult course (then what should I expect at Meltham). There seemed to be more up than down. It was a very cold morning with quite a hard frost on the ground, which made it quite tricky in places. The little hill at the end is a killer.
Respect to the Marshals today, on what must have been a very chilly mornings work.

In short: Chaotic start - and very wet
In full: Bit surprised with the rolling start, which in my opinion I didn't like. Call me old fashioned but I like to start behind the start line and wait for the gun to go off, and away we go, but I suppose with chip timimg it doesn't really matter.
Very wet conditions for the first few miles, but again end of November what do you expect.
What I didn't expect was to run out of water at 4 miles and also at the finish for the back enders. This should not happen. Thanks to the Marshals on what was a cold - damp day.

In short: Very tough hills, but strangely enjoyable.
In full: When they said this course was hilly, I didn't think that it would be as bad as where I live, but it was. This course was a real tester, and I was dreading what my better half was going to say (she hates hills), but she quite enjoyed it. The marshalls were excellent and the route signs were very good, and a beer festival to boot afterwards, marvellous.

In short: On what was probably the hottest day of the year so far, not too bad
In full: First time I have done this particular Harrogate course, and as I remember it, this one is a lot tougher than the old course. A bit chaotic at the start, asking you to line up in your supposed finishing time zone, then walking to the start where everyone got mixed up again. Waited quite a long time for the presentation, but started to get very hot and left, so I don't know if that ever happened. All in all, not a bad race, and we did spend a good night in Harrogate afterwards.
