In short: A well organised, friendly evening race.
In full: The fifth year that I have run this race, so I must like it!

The start is as always problematic for those starting at the back. As the paths around the park are quite narrow it is difficult to see how this can be improved.

I cannot see the point of the form of electronic timing used. My number was scanned at least 10 seconds after I finished, so that my recorded time is no t accurate. I do some races in Denmark whwre even fairly modest events are staring to have proper chip timing.

The race instructions do not indicate that toilets are available at the swimming pool.

There is no sign at the start as to where toilets are located.

In short: Once again. Cransley Hospice gives local runners a chance ot contribute to this excellent charity.
In full: I have run this race every year since its inception. Because it supports a well loved and valued local charity it is very popular with " fun runners" and I don't use that term disparagingly.

The one improvement that I would like to see is an effort to organise the start better. Runners do not always line up with a regard to their finishing time. Groups of slower runners are further forward than they should be. It is a narrow start and it often takes some time for the race to sort out.
