In short: Great organisation and support In full: The marshalls were absolutely fantastic and there were so many of them. The crossover at the pub (pass it 4 times) was unbelieveable in terms of atmosphere. I do hate mile 25 - 26, especially as someone turned on a wind machine at the start of the grassy hill and across the meadow. I won't do it again only beacuse it's my last marathon anbd certainly not because of the event which is a proper gem. I was lucky enough to win a prize and those were of top quality too as were the good bags which were actually full of goodies unlike many other races. The race t-shirt is also fab. In short: What fantastic local support In full: I pb'd at the race and achieved my goal of sub 3 hours which means I never have to run a marathon again!! hurrah to that. I couldn't beleive the support along the way, the people were fantastic, rigging up hosepipes from their homes to cool us down and cheering and shouting like their lives depended upon it. Really kept me going and I wouldn't have pushed myself on had it not been for the support. Personally, I thought that the oragnisation and atmosphere were great. My only gripe was leaving the medal collection area and really struggling to find the baggage area as a first timer - signage could have been much better. I only say this because I couldn't really walk and was very dazed so somethign mroe obvious would have helped. Date of review: May 29, 2012
