In short: Shockingly bad organisation In full: I've run this race before, loved it, hence the reason for coming back. Wish I hadn't bothered. First things first, the weather was atrocious! But that was great compared to the organisation! No toilets open at the North carpark. No toilets at the start. Everyone urinating next to trees. This is not acceptable and then only the odd portaloo out on the peninsula. The Army Cadets were great, out in the rain, cheering us on and providing drinks. The finish was a joke. Bearing in mind it was raining and barely above freezing there was no-one giving out space blankets or hot drinks, which I think was the least that they could do. I don't go for the goodie bag, which was just as well as it was poor at best. We had to beg the St John's ambulance for a space blanket and then wait in the freezing rain for the bus to arrive. £35 for all this is beyond a joke. I will not be running this again and if this is how Fat-Feet organise their events I won't be in a hurry to do any of their other races! Date of review: November 4, 2012

In short: My first Ultra and possibly one of the best In full: Entry fee, £12 - bargain. Food on offer at checkpoints was unbelievable. Marshals were fantastic, very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. If you've not done this one, get signed up next year, you won't regret it. I'll definitely be back. In short: Nice run, bt increadibly hot! In full: I have to say the marshalls were excellent. The Greenway second time round in 18c sun was energy sapping and put paid to my PB, at least that's excuse. Nice run through some lovely little villages though. Very picuresque in places. Overall, not a bad race and some very friendly runners and spectators on the way round. I was very priviledged to have run with "Paul" a blind runner whilst his partner went for a comfort break. he was on his 261st marathon. Very humbling. Date of review: May 8, 2011

In short: Very nice race, better than last year. In full: Difficult to compare this one to last years as the route was completely different. This run was by far a whole lot better and with a bit of luck will be kept for next year. I found the organisation very good with few complaints. Perhaps a few more toilets at start but being a bloke got fast tracked to the gents only urinals jumping the queue. A bit on the pricy side but if route stays the same then I'll be back. Managed to take 32 minutes of my time so very happy..... Date of review: March 23, 2011

In short: Tough as hell, but throughly enjoyable. In full: This was the first time I'd ever run this kind of distance over this kind of terrain. The route starts at the picturesque Ladybower Dam and passes along Derwent, Stanage and Curbar to name a few. Brilliant atmosphere and well organised by Edale Mountain Rescue. Lovely weather too. I'll definately be back next year. Date of review: September 26, 2010
