In short: Much improved on last year and now a really good event In full: Last year was not bad but this year all the slight flaws had been ironed out: better, faster and wider course; chip timing at start and finish; better bag storage; public toilets nearby; better designed t-shirt (no "Finisher" on it). Will continue to run this race in future years as not many other 10K races in central London at this time of the year and the cooler weather meant I ran a new pb. Date of review: October 26, 2010

In short: Friendly atmosphere and well organised and professional enough to be enjoyable In full: Very friendly organisers and excellent marshalling of quite a complex course. Attracted to race by shortage of other 10K races in london at this time of year and will probably run it again next year. A few downsides which hopefully will be improved on next year: (1) why no electronic timing at the start?; (2)According to my Garmin Forerunner and my splits the last kilometre was about 75m short!; (3) Finish was very crowded with no chance to continue walking after finishing to cool down properly; (4) "Finisher" on T shirt. Overall a good smaller event with the emphasis on the running not hype like my other two runs this year (British 10K & Great Capital 5K). Date of review: November 18, 2009

In short: A great first time race In full: This was my first ever race having started running seriously about 9 months ago at 54! Ran 58:30 (pb is 56:30) running a bit conservatively as quite hot and had walked 8 miles the previous day - not a good example of tapering! Should have used the Green Park toilets mentioned by Mohammed but keen to get near the front - as a result very slightly underhydrated. Crossed start line 28 seconds after gun so did not have a problem with slower runners or water runnnig out. Wife able to see me from near Embankment twice. Will do again next year (aiming for sub 55:00) and get there even earlier with a visit to Green Park toilets before going back to join the queue at the entrance to Piccadilly. Have registered an intrerest in the organisers Half Marathon in March 2010. Date of review: August 4, 2009
