In short: Flat, fast course with excellent marshalling In full: Great course, almost flat throughout. Very well marshalled by all the volunteers and Police - big thanks to all of you. The support from marshalls, and spectators was very welcome and encouraging. Plenty of water and signs. All in all a great race - maybe setting a new PB by 45 mins makes me a bit biased though. In short: Flat, fast - PB oh yes In full: Second time in 2 years, and a PB each time. This course is fast. If you want a 5m PB - run it!
Scenery is dull, but if you've got time to look at the scenery then you're not racing hard enough!
Seriously though, a nice little race, well organised and marshalled. Great for runners of all standards. Date of review: July 14, 2008

In short: Lovely course, mixed terrain makes it more interesting In full: Did this race for the second time, and ran a lot better this year. It's an atractive route, some of the off-road bits are aintersting, but none are that hard. I ran this less than 1 min slower than my road 10k PB (set a couple of weeks ago), so you can get a good time here.
Nice to see some entertainment / stalls on the common for the family, and the refreshments looked good (I didn't try them as I'd left my money in the car!). Date of review: June 2, 2008

In short: Great race again. Thanks to all the marshalls. In full: Enjoyed the T&G again this year.I didn't have any problem spotting the km markers, but i didn't see any signs at the start for expected finish times.
Big thanks to all the friendly marshalls who give up their time to help. Especially the one in High Street who cheered very loudly! Date of review: May 22, 2008

In short: Nice hilly cousre to start the road race season In full: I enjoy this race. I've done it for the past 3 years and find the hills set me up for the start of my road racing year.
So there's a 10 minute walk from the car park to the start - its good to stetch your legs after driving to the race. Treat it as a warm-up. And the toilet queues weren't as bad as many other races I've been to.
The course is great, start up hill (sorts the men from the boys early on), then out into the countryside, though a field, by a river lovely. A couple of climbs from 8k, and a drop to the finish. A slightly tight turn onto the school field at the end, but I've run worse finishes.
I hadn't even noticed the wrong date on the medal, but it's as much about the race as the medal. Shame, but never mind.
I took 1m 40s off my cousre PB, so I was happy with this run. I'll be back next year to try to better it. Date of review: March 7, 2008
