In short: Loved venue, decent organisation, good course, competitive field. should try harder with goody bag though for entry fee.

In short: Tough in parts as there are loads of hills, so quite energy sapping in places. e
In full: Only my second HM (first was week before) and found it to be well organised and had good support throughout. Loved the track finish and start time results were up on the board within half hour - who needs chip timers (stopwatch does the trick for personal time!). Goodybag a was basic and T-shirt was definately a 'round the house' job, but for the entry fee we paid, still good value. Will prob do it again next year (and will try to get there earlier so not in so much rush to get sorted). Well done to the organisers!!!

In short: First time half marathon race for me and what a baptism!
In full: Plenty of hills for those with enough stamina, nice scenery and very little in the way of outside influences such as traffic and pedestrian footfall. Some hills were particularly hard work which led to a small amount of walking/step climing in places, but nothing that cannot be dealt with by the average person that trains on a regular basis. Definately not one for an irregular runner in my opinion and probably more suited to someone that undertakes frequent hill climbs in their running....if you wish to frame that is. I personally do not have any hills in my area, but this was a great work out and my overall pace beat my current training PB at 11 miles. This I put down to the competitive nature of the run (this is my first actual race) - all my running has been by myself to date. Loved the day out and look forward to Royal Parks soon (which this was supposed to be a practice run for!) and will definately do a Saab Salomon run again - provided it's a half and not a full! much too early to consider a full as i've only been running outdoors since July!

Goody bag was good as the shirt would have cost almost the entry fee if purchased seperately and loads of other stuff in there for another day. Milkshake was 550 cals but had loads of protein and tasted real good so didn't give a monkeys at the time. Couldn't eat much else after though, but who needs to!
