In short: Hilly plus headwind first half, undulating plus tailwind second half
In full: Every bit as good as the old Dover half. This race makes you work hard.

Very well organised by Deal Tri.

In short: Certainly puts you through your paces
In full: 666!!! And I'm sure it was designed by a devil. A mixture of tough slippery trail, good firm trail and some short but gruesome climbs. A good event put on by Ashford Tri. I enjoyed this race.

In short: Superb scenery & great value for money
In full: The course was very scenic & the marshalls were superb. I've never seen so many jelly babies in so short a time before. And all those lovely cakies at the end. Istead & Ifield really do put a lot of hard work into organising this event

In short: Good spring marathon prep.
In full: Start was a bit rushed. Otherwise a good course for a time trial - mildly undulating at worst. Hillingdon Ac should be congratulated on managing to stage this event in a very busy area. I'll certainly come back & run it again sometime in the future.

In short: If I ever have to run up a cliff path again it'll be too soon!
In full: My first running of the new course and by comparison the old one (which wasn't exactly flat) is like a pancake! And just to rub it in, as if the legs weren't already screaming out, there was a 100mtr boggy XC to finish.
TRAC hit all their usual high standards though to lay on another quality event.

In short: It gets you out in the open!
In full: I said last year that I'd never do this one again due to how knackered I felt at the end. This year I had a superb run and may be back again. This has got to be the hardest but most scenic race I've ever taken part in. Hats off to the organisers, marshals and anyone who dares to take part!
