In short: Absolutely brilliant first marathon experience
In full: Despite heavy rain in the first half, the support was excellent - people were friendly and encouraging and gave you a lift when you needed it. Drinks stations plentiful, marshalling excellent. At the pasta party we met a couple who were marshalling and he had to get up at 2AM to put the mile markers out and then stand for hours in the rain - I think all the runners really appreciated the support.
First time in Jersey - great scenery, great people. We were kept going in the last 6 miles by lots of shouts of encouragement and it was a huge lift to get big cheers over the last few hundred yards. Thanks to all who gave up their time to make this really special.

In short: Well run and good support
In full: Enjoyed this one - friendly marshalls and a good level of support along the way. Very well organised and for a really good cause. Course was pretty flat with a mixture of interesting bits (Willen Lake and canals) and dull bits. Nice medal, water and bananas and snacks so good value. Great day and a big thanks to all volunteers

In short: Lovely day for a first half marathon
In full: First Half marathon and really enjoyed it - a beautiful day albeit v cold. Start was very fast - too fast - and I found that by sticking to my pace I passed a lot of people later who were whizzing past me. Parts of the route were actually lovely and the marshalls were helpful. Really good support at the end and a real 'feel good' on completing. I queued for a T shirt but they had pretty much run out and the quality did not look good for 16 Pounds. I'd have thought we would have got something from Nike given their sponsorship and race was not cheap to enter. I need to run a few more to compare but I really enjoyed it and intend to be back next year.

In short: Lovely setting and good challenge
In full: Really challenging and enjoyable. Field smaller than I thought and clearly lots of very good runners - did not seem to be many doing the 15k and they were all very good. So even doing a PB I was well back in the field! Still a great day though. Thanks to marshalls who were great.
