In short: Excellent as ever, winds made it harder than previous years
In full: This event continues to go from strength to strength. There are very few big marathon events in Britain and for anyone who would prefer to avoid the hassle of London but still wants road closures and a good atmosphere, this ticks the box. Excellently organised and backed by Sweetshop, New Balance and Lucozade so runners are well provided for even in this age of austerity.

In short: Hot and hilly, great scenery, good atmosphere but annoying changes to start time.
In full: A tough course through beautiful surrounding. The organisation especially when it was so hot left a lot to be desired, several changes to the start time did affect performance especially bringing time forward from an announced 10 to 9:50 meaning a 10K pace mile dash to the start!
