In short: Terrific stuff In full: Extremely well organised race. Everything was working like clockwork, right from the baggage drop off and toilets at the start, to getting the waved starts on their way, to the finish area.
Big race with lots of runners but there is still plenty of space so there is definite PB potential - although admittedly I did get a bit caught up in weaving in and out of people (My Garmin stopped 10k at around 200m before the actual finish so for me it was technically 10.2k but minor gripe.
Very scenic route where we get to own the streets of London for a morning and I loved every second of it. Good crowd support (great in fact!) and there were plenty of musicians out as well, which added to the overall atmosphere.
Got to see Mo Farah speeding along the Embankment as well which was absolutely amazing.
Only downer was seeing some poor guy on the floor being treated by paramedics around 8km - hope he's ok.
Will be back next year for sure. Date of review: May 31, 2010
