In short: My first time.... it hurt, but not as much as everyone said it would In full: Possibly not the easiest choice of first marathon... but I'd do it again :) Date of review: October 23, 2011

In short: LOVE this race - def one of the best 10ks in London, if not THE best :) In full: Its the second time I've done this race and I loved it again. The organisation is phenomenally well done, and the atmostphere is absolutely brilliant.
Love the medal, goodie bag and bagels and its a really fast circuit, so brilliant if you're going for a PB. Date of review: November 19, 2010

In short: Nice run, crush in the first mile meant it wasn't a race In full: I liked this race, the scenery was lovely, and the atmostphere was good. I didn't think it was that muddy at all, and the marshalls were brilliant. On the flip-side, the start was total nonsense, spent the first mile repeatedly having to stop and walk because of the crush which kind of defeats the object of the race (Purple Patch - you're charging people to do a race right?). And the bag-drop was rubbish. Sort it out PP, its not rocket science. Date of review: November 19, 2010

In short: Really good opportunity to see yourself progress over the 6 races In full: I like this race and its v well organised, although I agree, it could be 30 mins later to accommodate those of us who live south of the river. Date of review: October 31, 2010

In short: Great route, top marshalls, fab cake. Def back next year. In full: This was my first trail race and I really enjoyed it. The atmostphere was really friendly and more than made up for the pi$$ing rain. Having tea and cake after the race was definitely the way forward. Love this race. Date of review: November 23, 2009

2009 Run Richmond Riverside 10K

In short: Fantastic organisation, superb route In full: The hills make this challenging, the headwind made it really tough hence no good for a PB attempt.
Thought the atmostphere was fantastic and the organisation was really good. I think the people complaining about the lack of portaloos may not have realised that Greenwich Park has two public toilet blocks with about 15 loos in each.
Only criticism would be that they said we would be able to check times on finishing which actually wasn't the case and we had to wait for the times to be up on-line which took about 24 hours.
Will still definitley be doing this race next year. Date of review: November 15, 2009

In short: An absolute disgrace, they should be refunding In full: Very disappointed that after queueing 30 mins for my chip, I didn't get a time because I had to QUEUE TO GET OVER THE FINISH LINE! Did the organisers think there was going to be 14 entries not 1400?
The organisers should be doubling their contribution to Children's Need to compensate for the people who won't do it next year. Date of review: November 8, 2009

In short: Very well organised but traffic was an issue In full: I really enjoyed this race, particularly the mix of hills and flat and was really impressed with the facilities and organisation. However, I didn't realise beforehand that it would be run entirely on roads which was a bit disappointing and whilst the marshalls were brilliant, I felt like I was dodging traffic for most of the route. I'd still do it again though :) Date of review: October 19, 2009
