In short: Brilliant fun if you love mud, hills, cold water and more mud
In full: Another great Brutal course, at times I was upto my chest in cold, smelly mud or splashing through long stretches of water. Judging by the smiles at the end of the race I'm not the only one who likes putting myself through this kind of thing on a damp Saturday morning.

In short: The clue is in the name!
In full: The hills, both up and down, are killers. Slight congestion on first hill but soon spread out. Great views whilst trying to get your breath back. Well organised, fab brownies and flapjack at the finish. Another well organised AAT event.

In short: Lives up to it's name!
In full: Really well organised event. The course was a mixture of punishing hills, deep water and one of the smelliest bogs I've waded through. Can't make August but will make sure I enter in November

In short: 3rd time at the Bolt but first time at 10k. Better course this year with some of the same challenges that make it tough but fun. Will be back next year!

In short: feel good race with great support all along the course
In full: Second time I'd run this race and I thought last year was better organised. Big toilet block at the start of the festival area meant you had to fight through a crowd to get in. Baggage area was very slow and some people were still trying to put their bags in when the race was starting.
BMF pacers were a great idea but only available for 3 times. Some of us slower ones ould have done with a pacer- it might have pushed us to a slightly quicker time.
