In short: Cracking race with its fair share of slopes
In full: Really enjoyable race although surprisingly hilly in places (though not hugely challenging). Good spread of abilities and well represented by club runners. Felt humid on the day, definitely a vest only affair this year. Great that no headphones were allowed.

In short: Cracking day out for all!
In full: Pricey race but that is really offset b y the magnificent scenery and great atmosphere the day provided. Lots of goodies and nice feel. Glad the rain stayed away otherwise things might have been different.
Course was challenging and very firm under foot with ankle twisting potential (saw a few hobbling at the end). Course would have been intersting if it had rained but so glad it didn't. Lovely scenery and wholly encouraging marshalls helped me to a respectable time in the mid forties. Lovely day out with my family watching, definite one for the calendar next year!

In short: Good race, good day
In full: Started at the back which was not good, had to navigate round a few oblivious runners taking up the width of the road but no real problems. Really liked the ascent to Roedean then coming back into Brighton. Torture at mile 10 when the pier never seems to get any closer. Nice atmosphere, much preferred this route to the one last year, the weather helped as well.

In short: Repetitive race with PB possibility
In full: Chilly start, although on hard surface it is uneven in places so some attention needed for foot placement. 3 and a bit laps got repetitve to the end, it is a nice circuit but maybe in need of a detour to reduce the number of laps. As mentioned by another runner some of the hazards were other people like dog walkers, etc. Good race, goody bag could have been better even if money was going to charity.

In short: Hard work on a wet sunday morning
In full: My friend signed me up. The uncertainty over the actual race distance was a mild concern. Wet on the day and I was ill equipped with normal running trainers. Good banter at the star despite the cannon fizzling instead of starting the race with a bang. Lots of woodland, some steep descents leading to the eventual ascents. Not my cup of tea but a real challenge. Might do it again but only to beat my friend. Struggling to find race results though. Good morning which lead to well earned beer later
