In short: The first of many Kirste 5's, I hope!
In full: Lucky with the weather, which made the run across fields and through woods even more special. Lovely route, great fun atmosphere, superb medal, loads of cakes afterwards, and all for a good cause! The route through the woods was tricky in places, twisty and bumpy, but I loved it, even when I slipped and fell in the mud! The marshalls were fantastic, at every bend and corner, and full of enthusiasm (the girl at about 4.5 miles was deafening and literally leaping up and down). I will be back!

In short: A nice fun or charity run being in London, but poor organisation and value
In full: Well, I think it's all been said before. Poor signs from tube stations, terrible bag drop (no cover from rain, not secure, helpers couldn't find bags in the jumble at the end). Good atmosphere, good crowd, decent marshals on the route although spectators crossing the road a nightmare. Very crowded run, slow runners and even walkers at the front, a few people bumping and pushing, very rude, but most OK. Nowhere to change before or after. One plus point, quite a lot of loos at the start. Did it for charity, won't do it again.

In short: Lovely course, excellent organisation and marshals, great medal
In full: Did this last year and knew I'd be back. Lovely rural course. Marshalls this year even better than last year, and lots of water stations. Best medals of any race I've been in. Good quality t-shirt and odds and ends in goody bag. As everywhere, need more portaloos at start. Hot this year, everyone seemed to be 10% slower than last year. A great, well organised race, congratulations Halstead, and I'll be back again!

In short: Lovely scenery, really nice experience
In full: Scenery beautiful in spite of it being a dull day. Sports hall changing a bit cramped, but parking good and organisation good. A big thank you to the marshalls, all the people on the water stations, and the little girl with her mum and the plate of jelly babies! The details said undulating and undulating it was! My first ever marathon and I really enjoyed it - I'll be back next year.

In short: Well organised, lovely course, good water stations and marshalling. I'll be back!
In full: The car park ain't as bad as I'd expected, my car is low slung and I had no problems. Great bacon butty and home made cake afterwards. Very nice course, farm "track" (really a road with one good cindery bit) was my favourite, very scenic. Can't find any faults and I'll be back next year.

In short: A nice course
In full: The race deserves a better score as I really enjoyed it, and the marshalls on the course and the volunteers in the water stations were encouraging and great. But somehow the numbers came out a bit low. The organisers need to sort out the start a bit better: people weren't sure when and where to go to get to the start line; and there was no sorting of slower runners (like me!) to the back. But generally it was good fun and an enjoyable morning.

In short: Excellent organisation. Interesting course. More hilly than expected. My first ever half. Loved it! Back next year.
