In short: Flat. So very flat.
In full: Good to know the organisers listened to last year's comments - the post race tea van was very welcome. The reason this is one of my all time favourites? I've run it twice and got a pb twice. I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of scenery for the speed of the course.

In short: Just about perfect. More fun than the VLM. Throw in a bouncy castle, and this could be love...
In full: What a superb race from the Harvel team - just wonderful - normally a half of bitter mid race would seem silly - here it made perfect sense. Like going for a run with loads of mates in beautiful surroundings with ice creams, good food and more beer waiting for you. If there were something for kids to do in the start/finish field whilst waiting for the runners, it would be the race without peer. When can I sign up for 2013?

In short: local, inexpensive, flat and friendly
In full: Makes a change from most races in the numerous laps format - liked the track finish. not really clear where start/finish lines were - my garmin had it 150 metres over 10k. Good atmosphere and facilities.

In short: Fantastic bits - flattest course I've ever run, well organised, t-shirt (non-tech) was subtle enough to wear in public - BUPA 10k etc please note. Good refreshments for runners afterwards. But ....
In full: As has been said, there was nothing for spectators - a tea van would have been a real bonus. Good route, parking, etc - deserved a bigger turnout of runners.

In short: Hot, hilly, nice race officials, not so nice car drivers!
In full: Ok, so I was optimistic thinking I might get a pb here - third ever 10k and not sure how undulating it would be... Really nice support crew, especially welcome at the water stations. Some of the drivers were getting a bit shirty where runners had to cross roads though. Overall great fun - a real test of semi-beginner fitness.Yes, I'll be back next year (adfter more hill training!
