In short: Fun race surrounded by awesome people In full: Thank you to Dr Rob and all the marshals for making another fab race. The course as challenging as ever and cheery competitors who you see quite a lot of because of the 3 sets of down and back up (or up and back down). It’s never easy getting out of bed for this race, but truly is a cracker of a race that always leaves me motivated for the year ahead. Date of review: January 4, 2017
In short: Great local race In full: Thanks to RTL, organisers, marshals and all the supporters for a FAB race. A challenging course through Ashtead Common with many short climbs and rough / slippery underfoot. A really testing and enjoyable race – Thank you Date of review: May 26, 2016
In short: Sooo good! In full: Thank you Dr Rob and all the marshals for their time and enthusiasm. This was my 8th time running the LHH and it never disappoints. A challenging and rewarding course with what is always a great set of like minded runners. Great organisation, great set of goodies, A great morning out. I'm already looking forward to next year :-) Date of review: March 7, 2016
In short: What a day! In full: Firstly a big thank you to Dr Rob and all the kind marshals you made a good day fab! Secondly a big thank you to all the fellow runners, everyone was working hard and everyone had a smile and words of encouragement. A very challenging course, which you are never going to get a marathon PB on unless it's your first! The course is forever changing, so it's always interesting. You do need to keep concentration, because it would be easy to run off route or trip / slide over. This will be one of my favourites and all things being equal I'll be back for more in 2 years time :-) Date of review: October 12, 2015
In short: A Great Race In full: This is a FAB race! A great atmosphere and a challenging course. You have to concentrate all the time and it is a real test of your ability to judge your effort. Although I think the 1/2 marathon is probably easier than the wife carrying race!! Big thank you to Dr Rob and all the marshals for the hard work to make it so smooth for the competitors.
In short: A great muddy morning out In full: Thank you to ETL and all the marshals for making a fun morning out. The route is challenging due to the hills and the mud. Not too many places to overtake in the first 3k. My kids ran the fun run and they enjoyed themselves too. All in all a great morning out Date of review: February 2, 2015
In short: Love it! In full: Thank you Dr Rob, the Marshall's, the new dry Piper and the helpers for a great event. I really enjoyed the new route, the run down the hill first was a chance to warm up properly before having the first lung busting climb. I think that the new route is also better for spectators who can see the start and the finish and the runners come by another two times, all at the top of the hill and close to the cafe - perfect! See you all again next year! Date of review: January 5, 2015
In short: A great way to spend a sunny Sunday morning In full: Thank you to Dr Rob and all the Marshall's for making it a fun race, you even got the sun to shine this year! Great route and friendly fellow runners. Hardly any mud at all this year, but plenty of sand. See you all next year :-) Date of review: March 17, 2014
In short: A lot of fun! In full: A great course with plenty to keep you interested, hills, mud, water and a tree to climb over. Not to mention the great views and fab organisers and marshalls - Thank you all And a course PB for me :-) See you next year .... Date of review: February 3, 2014
In short: Fab race, interesting weather In full: Unfortunately I was one of the runners who took the wrong turn pretty early on in the race, so ran only about 4 miles. The weather was pretty tough, but a great spirit from all the runners and marshals. It was tough for the runner, but even tougher for the marshals - many thanks for your time chaps!
A great race and I'm sure I'll be back for more next year - Thank you Dr Rob Date of review: January 1, 2014
