In short: Bliddy H&S bods!
In full: Conditions this year made for a very fast race, not far off my road time. Hope there's loads of rain before next years! Organistion is brillant, The momentoe is something that gets used throughout the year and the marshalls are all ready to have the craic with you. This is a highly reccomended race, you just have to be very quick to get in.

In short: Who needs one line? One word does it - Delectable
In full: Fair play to those that stood around, the marshalls, the spectators etc. At least we were warm! This really is a must do race. There has to be a good reason it sells out very early year after year, and why a large proportion of the runners come back year after year.....

In short: Special. Lovely day out for a trundle on the roads through the trees
In full: Thanks Burnham Joggers and all the very encouraging marshalls. A fair few locals sprinkled around as well cheering the runners on. Very well placed water stations, just as I needed them they appeared! And so thoughtful to save the hills for the end of each lap ;-) Don't worry about the Loo issue, it was out of your control at that point. Good Medal, all I need as a momento. Having the results up so quickly as well, good marks.

All in all a very good day, again my thanks for staging this race.

In short: Hard first two miles, then it gets easier, you've done most of the up by this point!
In full: The hill doesn't seem so bad at the start. And then you hit the hill. Good encouraging marshalls that were quite happy to have the craic as you went round. Lovely woodland trails to run through. The locals walking round the wood also cheered and clapped you around. And the finish. Once you leave the wood it's all downhill. One of the fastest miles I've ever done! Flat out sprint by the time I got to the line.

In short: The best MT HM I've ever done
In full: There are so manmy positives to say about this from the organisation, the friendliness of all involved, the marshalls on the very well marked course to the star of the day, the run itself through varying country, up & down hills, some quite steep. Loved the Marshall at the 8m mark, gave her a hug and left with a bounce.

In short: Five days down the line and I'm still buzzing
In full: What can I say that hasn't beeen said already? This is a fantastic race, I had a smile on my face the whole way round. The marshalls were brilliant, best I've ever come across. To mention one or a few above others is impossible. They were all wonderful. From the national anthem at the start to getting back to the finish line for the second time, everything was perfect. This is not an easy race by any stretch of the imagination. Dr Rob does not oversell this event. It's not something you could turn up and run with no or little basic training. Ok, you could, but you're gonna hurt a lot! I did it to challange myself and boy did it deliver. It is both a physical and a mental challange. If the entry for the next one was open now, I'd be in already.

In short: 1st time, and definetely not the last time. Great race
In full: Agree, the first hill is a kitten - cute & cuddly with soft little claws that you hardly notice. A very pleasent run along mostly car free roads before turning down a track and down past a Tudor mansion in a park and back to the start. Very good and freindly marshalling, excellent organising. The whole thing had that easy, relaxed village fete atmosphere. Felt the most relaxed I've ever been at a start line and did a PB without ever feeling like I was pushing it. Would highly reccomend this.

In short: I could walk to the start!
In full: Well, I could have done if I hadn't got halfway there and realised I had no chip meaning I needed to run home and then jump in the car as I had no time to walk! Free parking and plenty of it meant this didn't cause an issue. Many have said this isn't a PB course with the undulations and different surfaces, and they'd be right, except I did manage to get a PB! Probably due to having run on most of the course for the last few years. Anyway, been meaning to do this race before but never been in home when it was on. Friends have raved about it and I now know why. In every way you can think of it's good to excellent. I will make more of an effort to be home next year!

In short: Fast and flat, excellent organisation, Marshalls and locals among the best anywhere
In full: Thanks once more to the organisers for putting together another wonderful race. A tad hot for me at this time of year and had to stop for a couple of mins to hydrate properly. Still manged to take 4 mins off my PB though!
