In short: 10 hours and still no results? Not good.
In full: Good event.
However, really not sure whether I am being completely unreasonable to expect that results would be available a hell of a lot sooner. Where are they?
I know you've got to wait 24 hours on x- factor, but it was chip timed for gawd's sake. Come on organisers sack the company that has let you down and do it by hand next year.... It's very frustrating.
Anyway, apart from that little fit of childlike frustration I did enjoy it. A lot.

In short: A good un!
In full: Great course diversity, well organised. Plus, it was near Liverpool and my car was neither stolen nor burgled.
Can't get much better than that!

In short: Go on, kill me why don't you!
In full: What a great event! Best organised event I've ever been to. Friendly, tough, scenic!
If only the last 385 yards were not, ahem, 700, and the clock 8 secs wrong, it would have been perfect.
My triumphant sprint for the line was all in vain!... And now I am in tears as I stare, legs throbbing, disbelieving at the cruel results. 2.59.58 has become 3.00.06. They may as well have mown me down with a combine harvester and tossed my broken body into the lake.
But who cares, a marathon is meant to be torture!!! It was truly memorable for lots of wonderful reasons. Stewards especially were magic! Thanks.
Ps, hills are evil, they must be stopped.

In short: A hard run, a great event!
In full: Wow! A warm, friendly, brilliantly organised event. Is it a marathon, Or an athletics event (four different races), a local fete or family day out. Actually, it's all of this and more. Colin Jackson gives out the prizes, Tracey Morris runs in the half, there's all the facilities of a big-city marathon and it runs like clockwork.
It's a beautiful course (apart from the last 4 miles), and we got lucky with the weather, so a late summer tan came with it.
There's no mountains to run up, but those roads roll up and down, up and down....it's a serious challenge. Mentally and physically tough, but not a killer.
Outside of the London Marathon, I've not been to a better one in this country.

In short: Highlight of a Cornish holiday!
In full: Good race!

Organisation absolutely superb!!! Masses of marshalls showing you the way, swift results on the board etc etc. It just has a great feeling about it.

Not sure about the new course - I have fond memories of the monster hills!

In short: A pleasant saturday afternoon race
In full: Friendly, generally well organised race. Fairly flat course. Sadly (happily) the runners were taken down the wrong road which made it 4.66 miles on my Garmin. Never mind, same for everyone...the unexpected finish was a welcome break for my tiring body. If only all finishes felt like that!

In short: Postcode Nightmare!!!!
In full: Great event, can't fault it....erm, well apart from what seems like an absolute howler with the venue address. If you are going to place the postcode on the entry form in large bold letters, then some poor sod is going to type it into their satnav, or into multimap and then arrive 30 mins before the start, only to find they are half of cheshire away.

How can I be so sure this will happen? Erm, guess.

Anyway...mistakes happen. We got there with 10 mins to spare and hared off down the road to make the start line with 30 secs to spare. a great way to warm up!

Everything else, however, was almost perfect!!! Would recommend it.

In short: Not many races like this one!
In full: Why not take the chance to do a real urban run? Not an overhyped fun run like the Manchester 10K, not a rural bore like Wilmslow. No! Swinton is real road and pavement, dual carriageway, terraced houses and urine splashed underpasses...not known for their running, but LS Lowry or Morrissey would have chosen this one.
