In short: Great race under difficult circumstances.
In full: The snow & ice made this an organisers nightmare. But they made the best of a bad situation & changed the course to avoid the worst of the ice.
Mostly a nice run by the river, though a bit hairy running along the main road as there's no pavement.
Nice t-shirt.
Sure more would have turned out had the weather not been so bad.

In short: Very friendly race. Great marshals.
In full: Very well organised. Great t-shirt & goody bag.
Some playful hills, but nothing TOO terrible.
A lot around the roads of Stockport, but nice once you got onto the smaller roads by the river.

In short: Flatish with friendly marshals.
In full: Nice little race around farmland.
Quite fast runners if you're a beginner though. Only 2 of us over 70 mins.
Nice medal.

In short: Really fun race
In full: It really is a sight to see over 1,000 Santas running down the road!
Great fun race. Lots of slower people too, so would be good as a first race.
Not great scenery, running through east Manchester, obviously, but the finish running round the athletics track is good.
Great medal & goody bag.
Santa suits nice & warm as it was a bit cold!

In short: Fab race. Friendly & quick.
In full: This was my second year doing this one. It really is a fun little race. Perfect as a first race too. Great value. Just £3, & butties & a drink afterwards too. And a great medal.

Not too much water on the course after all, after weeks of rain.

Great organisers & a nice atmosphere.
Couldn't fault it.

In short: Hard, hilly, muddy, swampy, insane fun
In full: A hard 12 mile trail race with hills & swamps. But it feels so much more than that with the atmosphere. Totally bonkers!!
Could do with more marshals on the route, as several arrow signs had blown away, & route confusing when this happens.
Everyone has to try this one once. I'll be back next year.
