In short: Definitely undulating! In full: This was my 1st 10 mile race and I found it a challenge. It was definitely undulating with a steep, long hill at 4 miles and another long but gradual hill at 6 miles. It seemed to be mainly hardcore runners out to get their PB. Lots of runners spitting too - gross! Really glad I was with my PT for moral support. The weather was fab (Jan 2010) and would do the race again but not on my own - not particularly friendly. In short: Challenging but not as hilly as I'd been led to believe In full: This was only my 2nd 10K but my last was completely flat, so this was more challenging. However, having read the previous comments, I was dreading the hills but they really weren't that bad and there was a lovely flat stretch between 5 & 7K. The penultimate hill was a killer but otherwise it was great. My time was much slower than my last 10K but I wasn't aiming for a PB. Maybe next year, now I know what to expect!
