In short: Fairly tough course but well organised and friendly
In full: Course change from last year means that instead of a sharp hill at Saltram you have a long slog up the other side. Personally I liked this and suspect that it made the course slightly quicker. Support was great, weather was runner-friendly and I had a great day (nice goodie bag too)

In short: An enjoyable run with some lovely scenery
In full: First time for me. I was a relatively late entry and so was recipient of a faulty chip - but apart from that it was a great day. The course is challenging, but not too bad as by the time you hit the 2nd lap you know what's coming and can conserve energy for the late hills! Atmosphere a little flat from spectators but the marshalling was excellent, the rock and rol band were fun and I really enjoyed the run. The dip in the sea afterwards was colder than expected!!

In short: Well organised and very enthusiastic support - well done Brighton!
In full: I enjoyed this race. The course was well laid out and had a mix of good views, well supported residential streets, and even - yes - a hideous dull section after 20 miles that you were glad to put behind you!

I didn't much care for the water pouches and in common with others had a coughing fit when trying to drink from one. I also like to douse my head in a bit of water and it was difficult to do that with these. Other than those minor gripes it was an excellent marathon with a great atmosphere and I would recommend it to others.

In short: A very enjoyable race that I would recommend
In full: First time at this one for me. I was aware that there were some hills, but they were not as fearsome as all that. Course a bit twisty but there were some lovely views by the Sound and the track finish was great.

In short: Great event - everything went like clockwork. Highly recommended
In full: My first marathon and I suspect that it will be hard to top. Course was lovely and not too daunting. Crowds out and about were brilliant and I loved the finish at the racecourse. Well done all involved!

In short: Good course, well organised, very good race.
In full: My first time here. Had been warned about the big hill after 2K but it was still a shock! A varied course though with downs as well as ups and PB potential if you get the pacing right. Very well organised - well doen Erme Valley Harriers.

In short: Enjoyable run on a warm morning
In full: A well-organised race. Running along a main road wasn't as alarming as I had anticiapted and drivers were considerate of runners. Course was interesting and challenging without being too daunting - although the steep hill at 6 miles was tougher than expected. A friendly welcome at the finish line and a nice mug. Very pleasant way to spend a Bank Holiday morning.

In short: A very enjoyable event and well organised
In full: From my point of view there were no hitches with the organisation of this race. I enjoyed the scenery and the course was pretty benign (which was helpful as I set off way too fast!). Support around the course was patchy at times, but where there were crowds of people they were great. The wooden medal was a nice touch. An expensive event but I'd recommend doing it at least once!

In short: Decent course, good organisation.
In full: This was my second time at Bristol. I was wary of the strip and so threaded my chip through my laces - and glad that I did. The course is reasonably varied in terms of flat/hilly, straight/twisty - but I found some bottlenecks at the start (I was in the blue zone) which cost me a minute or so. Marshalls and volunteers were excellent and I apprecaited the support of the crowds towards the end. Overall a positive experience (and a PB...just!)

In short: Good race on a flat course, well organised and friendly
In full: I didn't drive to the event so can't comment on the parking problems. The race itself was very enjoyable, a bit twisty in places but that kept you alert. Good crowds, lovely scenery. I'll be back in the future if I get the chance.
