In short: Hilly! In full: It was as described...a hilly half marathon with your PW (personal worst) on the cards! Great atmosphere and the marshals were all very encouraging which always helps!
Overall, a great race but collecting race numbers was a little chaotic at the start. No biggie though :) Date of review: November 27, 2012

In short: Enough scenery and ascents to take your breath away! In full: Very well organised and hugely challenging...thank goodness for regular checkpoints to re-energise and to get your breath back!
As you'd expect, the scenery is fantastic and shared only between the runners and a few other walkers at this time of year. Day three gets seriously tough and the weather was wild this year! A little longer for the final leg than advertised (clocked at 28.5 miles) but this is definitely not advertised as a PB marathon course!
Will I return? Who knows! If this was to be the first and last ACC it would only be down to the state of my feet post-run.
Would recommend this to anyone who fancies a challenge away from the monotony of a road 10km...stunning views throughout and a Cornish pasty upon completion. What is there not to like! Date of review: October 5, 2012

In short: Shut Up Legs! In full: Reviewing the 12.12 and Whirlow 10k runs.
Something like 630 metres and 300 metres of ascent respectively across the most amazing scenery in the Peaks led for a breathtaking run in more ways than one!
Slickly organised and tremendous value, I'll be returning for the 2013 events!
On a sidenote, perhaps we could look at showers for campers? Date of review: August 27, 2012

In short: A challenging trail race In full: Great run in challenging conditions. Torrential rain helped turned most hills into a slippery and hair raising experience!
A group of us were directed the wrong way by a 'rogue sign' which was apparently moved by some joker (not one of the runners mind you). It would be a real shame for Liss Runners to cancel this race because of this. Really hope to see this return next year...sign me up! Date of review: August 5, 2012

In short: A scenic and well organised cross country race. In full: Very well organised with friendly marshalls and a good start/finish hub. Great to be handed a technical tshirt at the end...can never have enough quality tshirts! See you next year Epsom Oddballs! Date of review: February 1, 2012
