In short: Great course, some town, but some nice rural bits. No major hills. Date of review: March 21, 2010

In short: Good fast course. In full: Really enjoyed this - especially after having had a hideous Windsor Half Marathon. Scenery nothing special as its just 2 laps around the town, but it's a very friendly atmosphere and well marshalled with roads closed. Will definitely do this again next year and use it as one to improve on PB. Date of review: October 18, 2009

In full: My second year of doing it. A fairly hard one - not helped by the hot weather. further not helped by the delay in starting - Race didn't get going until 1.15, which meant many runners had been lining up in their start categories for nearly half an hour - IN THE BLAZING SUNSHINE! Speakers had not been erected far enough down start line so runners had no idea what was going on and what was causing delay. Despite that, it is a good route, and the hills give you a bit of a challenge. Good atomosphere especially on homeward stretch. However, getting out of the car park was an absolute shambles. The Marshalls did nothing at all to help the situation which became increasingly bad - cars who had got in the 'proper' route out then had to hang around while people drove through 'barriers' (a piece of string) to jump in the queue further up. It took me 1hr and 45mins to get out of the car park - not good when you've just run 13 miles! It was quite bad last year as well, but nowhere near as bad as this. Let's hope the organisers get the message and organise this better. have to say it has put me off doing it again. Date of review: September 28, 2009
