In short: Not worth the effort
In full: This was a disappointing race - it was dull, the course was very hilly and nowhere near as interesting as one might expect. Organisation dull. Worst of all NO MEDAL just a rubbish t-shirt which was not even in my size!! Not recommended.

In short: Great Race
In full: I very much enjoyed this scenic, well organised race - great medal and freebies - the town Mayor even shook hands with me at the end!!

In short: Sadistic Fun
In full: Very long and steep hills - it's a bit like fell running inasmuch as you are mostly either crawling up agonisingly never-ending sheer cliffs or racing on the verge of falling on your face down crazy hills. Very little of the course is flat. I've never seen so many people walking up hill before.

Having said that the organisation worked seamlessly and the parking was easy. My support crew thought it was good for supporters - but it's very memorable for runners - my legs are killing me the day after and I'm thinking maybe I'm too old for this kind of mountainous course - am I masochistic enough to do it again next year?? I'll let you know once the pain subsides!!

In short: My Favourite 10K!!
In full: I have done this race many times and always enjoy it. They have moved the start since my last attempt - this caused a few problems for my support crew (wife and little daughter)who only just got back to the finish line before I did!! Also there was quite a bit of congestion at the finish - this could do with a lot of sorting out. Overall its my favourite race and getting bigger all the time (just like I am!!)

In short: I enjoyed it and I'll do it again next year. I did a PB so its quite quick even with the long hill which you go up twice!!
In full: Car Parking was a bit congested but not as bad as it looked. Facilities almost non-existent. Friendly runners. Started late. Start was a bit far from car park. The weather was wet but cleared up. Overall a bit basic but enjoyable.
