In short: challenging again but disappointing not-so goody bag In full: Second year I have done this race, knocked 5 mins off last years time so was pleased with that.
Route is ok apart from single paths which aren't very good if you are trying to overtake unless you fancy risking running along with the speeding traffic. Once you are into the country lanes it's ok, not as hilly as I remember from last year but that's probably because I knew what to expect.
Marshalling was brilliant again apart from the one that asked me stop at a mini roundabout so a car could cross which I didn't appreciate, surely stopping a car is easier than stopping me and breaking my stride pattern?
Loved the family that had all the musical instruments, thought that was great.
Was very disappointed in the not-so goody bag, I really don't need any more bags! what happened to some fruit or the T-Shirt??
All in all though well organised, well done Maidstone Harriers Date of review: October 18, 2010

In short: Great race for a PB and well organised In full: A very well organised event, friendly marshalls plenty of water stops and the sponges were a great touch towards the end, supporters were brilliant dotted around the little villages. Very flat apart from a couple of minor climbs, I managed to knock off 5-6mins off my PB so was really pleased with that, would def do it again and encourage anyone to do it. In short: Good marathon trainer In full: Very well organised event, a few killer hills which were very early on and wasn't expecting them, beautiful scenery once you had climbed them though, worst bit was running into the wind along the A20. Good water and food stops, marshalling was very good also. The last mile was a little short though as i recorded 20.7 miles in total, medals were also good. Overall a good race though and was pleased with my time Date of review: March 31, 2010
