In short: Poor organisation
In full: Good support from the people of Manchester, but poorly organised all round with the the camels back being broken by the hair that was the dangerous baggage finding situation.

In short: Poorly organised and made worse by the wind / sand storms
In full: Number & race instructions never arrived in the post despite me chasing. Organisation was poor and unhelpful. Route through housing estates and up the promonade was dull. Ran out of T-shirts in correct sizes. Not good.

In short: A good participation event with a few challenging ups and down hillss
In full: Good opportunity to show case what Sheffield has to offer. Maybe not a pb course given the last few hills. Seemed to be a little more than 10k though (?)

In short: Pricey and conjested, but overall pretty enjoyable.
In full: Great idea having waves, however as I did not have an 'official' best time for a 10k, I had to start near the back so any ambition of me acheiving my expected sub 40 minutes went out the window when I ran into the conjestion of the previous wave at the 1km point. My recommendations for next year would be to reduce the cost from £22 and make purchase of the tshirt optional, make the route wider and more scenic by going up Eccleshall Road instead of Abbeydale, and take expected time into consideration aswell as past times.

In short: Unfortunately didn't live up to expectations, but enjoyable non the less!
In full: My main gripes were (despite beating my PB by 31 secs) the course was'nt as flat as expected, the late start was a little annoying, the goody bag was relatively poor with the medal shoved in rather than being handed after the finish (those small but special touches!), and what happened to the free T-shirt!!??!!

In short: Not for the faint hearted but do-able
In full: I was a little confused when I arrived (as a 1st timer) where the start line was & there was no big clock so someone had to let me know my time at the end. The changing facilities were a bit dodgy, however overall the race was very scenic, friendly & (dare I say it) enjoyable. see you next year!
