In short: Excellent race In full: 2nd time for me. Lap format is very helpful when going for a specific time as you know exactly what is coming by the time you get to the third lap.
It's a well designed route with good variety. Some country lanes, a bit of dual carrriageway (with a path), some industrial areas, a housing estate and a couple of parks. And the undulations also add interest - nothing so steep to really slow you down but enough to keep it interesting.
And organisation and marshalling is first class. Thanks very much indeed. Date of review: November 20, 2012

In short: The best In full: Still my favourite race. Great route, lovely atmosphere, wonderful marshalls, faultless organisation, nice t-shirt, very cheap.
The weather was perfect as well, but this would be a brilliant race even in a deluge.
Thanks very much to all at Tring Running Club for another great day. Date of review: October 19, 2012

In short: Very well organised and super fast course In full: I was worried that the faffing about to get buses to the start would be annoying but it wasn't - like everything about the day is was very efficiently organised and ran like clockwork.
Water stations were frequent - every 3 miles or so - which was great.
The first 10 miles are basically downhill (net 1,000 feet or so) which gives this real PB potential.
And the t-shirt is really nice. Date of review: October 1, 2012

In short: A brilliant race In full: This is one of my favourites. A great course, mainly off road with lots of variation of surface, incline and view. Very well organised indeed - starts on time, plenty of marshalls and all very friendly. And it all starts and finishes in the very picturesque Shardeloes cricket club.
All the races that Chiltern Harriers put on are excellent but this is the best in my view. Date of review: September 24, 2012

In short: Very well run race on an excellent course with perfect weather In full: The organisation at Tadley is always very good. Low key but well managed.
It's an excellent course - flat for a mile, down hill for a mile, 3 miles of occassional undulation and then a sharp climb at 8k just to take away any complacency as the finish approaches.
What made it extra enjoyable this year was the weather. It was warm enough but a bit of breeze and even a bit of drizzle the hills at the end seemed much much easier than last year. Date of review: July 2, 2012

In short: Perfect weather and a great course In full: Thanks to all the marshalls and organisers and special thanks to the boy with the cow bell at 8 miles who gave me a bit of a lift when I needed it.
Would it be possible to close the road from 6 to 9 miles? Too many cars coming very close.
