In short: cheated and upset for barnado's.
In full: This race got too big too soon. It was so much better last year. Better course last year with charming start and finish. This year, noise and toilet queues at start, so much so that I had no time to warm up and am still aching, having spent 25 mins waiting to empty my bladder rather than stretch. In normal circumstances I'd be happy having achieved a PB by quite some time. Only now my aches are fruitless and my faith in this event shattered. If you want to really compete for a top place next year, I'd suggest doing this event as the best won't be there! More importantly, this is a disaster for Barnardo's and charity raising in the future. If someone had told me at the start instead of having to listen to that awful Craig Bellamy pretend he is a nice chap after all, I'd have chosen not to run and saved my legs for the great south run next week. Not happy!! As for S4C coverage, it was like watching Norwegian coverage of a London marathon desperately trying to make it Norwegian. Yes, it was a bit Welsh, but a fair balance of Welsh and English speakers might have given coverage a bit of respectability as might have a little honesty at the start of the race!
