In short: Really good fun!
In full: This was my first time at a event like this. I really enjoyed it, the hills were challenging as were some of the obstacles. Really liked crawling under the tanks, was tougher than I thought. Great goody bag at the end, the dog tag medal and army themed shirt were a great idea. Only issued would be a bigger sign on the main road for the entrance to the race, I nearly missed it.

In short: A good challenging hilly race!
In full: A nice scenic route with plenty of undulations. Some quite hard uphill sections especially at 6 miles, but everything evens itself out with the last 2 miles or so being downhill.

In short: Hilly course
In full: Nice scenic and undulating course. The last mile is uphill all the way! Did I miss some mile markers. From 7 miles on, I only saw a couple. I was worried at one point! But enjoy myself. Will do it again.

In short: Great day out!
In full: This was my first race. I really enjoyed it. Some nice views and the crowds were great. I was quite realistic with my time estimate, though it seemed thousands weren't. The first 3-4 miles I was just overtaking people many who were walking! I don't have a problem with people walking, but why were they in the faster waves. This caused severe bottlenecks at the first couple of bends. Other than that a few extrs toilets might be nice. But overall I loved the race and will be back next year! Hopefully there was a lot of money raised!

In short: Great race, I found it challenging though.
In full: Great race and scenery. Shame about the weather, it took me an hour for me to get the use of my hands back. But it was all fun. The marshalls deserve a pat on the back. I thought I was mad for running it, but standing there for hours takes something special.
