In short: A twisty yet top class marathon In full: Immensely enjoyable and highly recommend this event.
The only negatives - sorry - the course would need to change to suit a larger field and the marshals could have been more enthusiastic on the closed road section.
Thumbs up to the organisers and their support. Date of review: April 19, 2010

In short: There are faults but hopefully can be fixed In full:
My First time at this event and also for my sister we were both generally impressed with the high levels of organisation. Fantastic atmosphere at the events runners village.
Their headquarters was open to the elements with no cover or facilities to protect athlete and spectator alike which would be a major problem should the skies open. Luckily on this occasion the sun was smiling which was lucky because there was a 10 minute wait at the start line.
It was nice being able to park cars close to the race start but of little use if it takes an age to get into it. We were in our car for almost an hour which anyone would agree is unacceptable. Leaving the event was also a nightmare. Also the car-park attendants looked way out of their depth and added to the bottleneck.
The run was good although there were way too many people left to wander the course when running back past the HQ, marshals should have been controlling this.
There was beautiful scenery on the south Wales coastline which was a pleasure to run along and the camaraderie among the runners was great.
A nice return stretch to the finish line but too long a wait at the finish funnel was a minor let down but would again be worse if the weather had been bad. Medal, t-shirt and certificate (forgot to pick mine up) added to the good value of the event.
No PB for me ... my Sunto showed 13.11 miles; my sister bettered her best time by over a minute and her Timex showed 13.12 miles.
The traffic points must be addressed. We will attend again but if the satisfactory changes have not been made we will not travel down the M4 to Llanelli again.

In short: Not good enough for a big city run In full: There were things that let this event down but thankfully the good weather held it together.
A big thanks however to the marshals and other volunteer support for looking after us. Date of review: October 28, 2009
