In short: Love this race, will be back again next year
In full: My third outing in 4 years as injured last year and somehow managed to PB by a country mile which considering the hills was totally unexpected.

As usual the marshals were first class and really encouraging when you needed that little lift after a long climb, well done guys.

My only gripe as I have found in previous years is that the start was again a bit of a shambles with no one really aware that the race had begun further back in the field. The new start line also confused some people. That said it didn't spoil the race for me and I'm already looking forward to next year.

In short: Excellent Spring Marathon Preperation
In full: I did this race 2 years ago and cut off at 15 due to a heavy cold. Heading back this year I was determined to do the full 21 and with the glorious weather it was a most rewarding race. The marshalls were brilliant, the course is very scenic and the atosphere was very friendly.

Definitely a must do in the lead up to a spring marathon, the hills really make you work and the icecream van at the finish was most welcome.

Loved it!!!!

In short: Superbly organised with fantastic support
In full: I thoroughly enjoyed this race despite walking around like John Wayne afterwards. The course was superbly marshalled and the water and feed stations were spot on. The local residents were out in force giving this race a very friendly feel which is always welcome.

PB potential is high and I acheived a time 41 minutes quicker then my previous time over this distance but despite being flat it is still tough and seeing the mile markers for the second lap of the double loop when still on the first can be a bit disheartening when it hits you that you have to go round a second time before heading home.

All in all a cracking day out and the steaming hot shower after the race was pure heaven.

In short: My favourite event of my race calendar
In full: This is without a doubt a fantastic event, runs like a well oiled machine, the encouragement from everyone both supporting and running is excellent and the solo competitors are mind blowing. I will be back year after year for this event and am already looking forward to next year.

In short: A great trial for the spring marathon
In full: A challenging undulating course, good water stations and some brialliant marshalls, especially just after 4 miles, she had enough energy for everybody.

My only critisism is that a few of the marshalls appeared to be more interested in chatting with each other rather then actually marshalling their junctions, but on the whole a cracking race.

In short: Very hard, especially the second hill into Headley but all in all a very enjoyable run. Marshalls were great, Organisation was terrific.
