In full: "Profile: Undulating/Hilly" - understatement of the year, perhaps? Another amazing Brutal course - hills, mud, and today's prominent feature... icy cold waist-deep water. I'm hoping to warm up in time for the last Brutal of the year on 29th Dec. Weather couldn't have been better today - just above freezing, blue sky and glorious winter sunshine made some fantastic scenery for a run. Date of review: December 8, 2012

In short: Tough run - but really good fun too! In full: I love the Brutal formula - tough runs without artificial gimmicks, just really hard terrain - hills, sand, water, and mud. This particular event featured LOTS of mud. Great atmosphere, friendly runners, and a real feeling of accomplishment crossing the finish line. Don't forget to bring a towel, dry clothes, and a bin bag to protect your car seat on the way home! Date of review: November 19, 2012
