In short: Perfect prep for London
In full: Second time of doing the "race" or as I call it get round. It's a flat course and ideal prep run for those doing a spring marathon to see were your at. Nice T Shirt this year and I didn't come last this time, bonus!

In short: A great race, worth the money, friendly atmosphere.
In full: Well organised local race. PLenty of facilities ie toilets, changing rooms, refreshments at the start/finsh area. Plenty of parking close by. Best atmosphere at a race this year. First 5k I thought was fast but it get's a bit more challenging in the second half of the race. Water station at halfway, I didn't need it myself but it's a nice touch. Would of been perfect if there had of been a timing mat at the start aswell as the finish. There was even a dog running in the race.

In short: 2nd year running only medium shirts left at the finish
In full: My second year doing this run and the second time there were only small and medium t-shirts left. If you enter a race and pay the money you should get what you pay for. Also for the price there should be at least one drinks station with sports drinks rather than giving them out at the end.

In short: fast flat course well organised
In full: first time doing this race. Flat fast course which is 2 laps of a business park which sound depressing but it was actually quite a nice route and quite scenic. weather was lovely. Car parking right by the start/finish. Special mention to the marshall at 8km, he did a great job encouraging all the runners as they went by and certainly spurred me on. The only downside to this race was at the finish they only had small and medium t-shirts left. Apparently they ran out of Large ones over half an hour before the start. This left a bit of a bad taste in the mouth to an otherwise good event.

In short: Hilly, part trail part road.
In full: Arrived at 9am in good time to collect my number as i'd registered through runners world. They didn't have my number and spoke to me as though this was my fault and said i'd have to fill out another form in. This seemed to happen to alot of people. i thought the route was pleasant enough but very hilly.

In short: Ran like clockwork, nice course and well organised.
In full: probably the most smoothly run event i've attended this year and i've ran in over 20 races. Beat my pb by 8 minutes, I thought the course was undulating, there were a couple of steep hills but nothing too drastic. The crowd support was really good especially as it was tipping down for the whole race. The t-shirt is good as it's a technical t-shirt but it's just plain and has no mention of the event on it which is a bit of a shame. The medal is superb, probably the best one yet. There's even a bit on the back where you can engrave your time which I thought was a nice touch. The goody bag was average at best. A good local event which I would do again.

In short: the best race in the world...bar none.
In full: This was my 4th time doing this race and have already re-booked the hotel for next year. The people of newcastle are brilliant and a credit to the city. The best atmosphere of any race by far. This is my all time favourite race.
