In short: Great run, got my PB, wish I'd put on more suncream beforehand! In full: The good points: -Great crowd support at the end and in the villages, loved those garden hose showers - Good little goody bag at the end - I though the start was well organised, if you queued early enough for the toilets and found your start pen on time, then there was no problem.
The bad points: -The mile markers were far too small, I didn't spot any between mile 12 and mile 18. -The 1 mile trek to get on the shuttle bus after was not fun for those who'd just run 26.2 miles! -It was a shame all the fun runners/relay runners started ahead of the marathon runners, having to overtake people who were aready walking at mile 2 really slowed down the start.
Overall it was still a great race and I would consider running it again...
In short: Some rather challenging hills, but otherwise a really good training race! Love the hoody! Thanks ot the Huntingdon club runners who helped me up the tempo at mile 15! Date of review: March 29, 2010
