In short: Excellently organised and friendly HM for all levels of runners
In full: This was my first road HM and after reading previous reports I was really looking forward to participating. The organisation was slick and marshals enthusiastic. The locals embraced the event and seemed justifiably proud of it despite the obvious disruption this size of run causes which made for a fantastic atmosphere and even in the more remote locations there seemed to be somebody to cheer and spur you on! There were more than ample water stations even for the hot day and the lady with the water hose just after the 8 mile mark - you were an absolute godsend and an angel! Hearing my name over the PA system as I finished brought a big grin to my face and was the perfect end to a brilliant and fun 13.1 miles and I will most definitely be back next year as I now have a road HM PB to beat!!!

In short: Fantastic Local Race
In full: This was my first time running a race like this and it was brilliant to see all the local running club vests on display :O) An extremely well organised event around a very pleasant course through some lovely local villages and on very quiet roads. The hills made it more interesting and overall it had a fantastic 'community' feel to it. The great BBQ was irresistable and thoroughly earned by all - organisers, runners and the enthusiastic spectators alike. Many thanks Ropsley and I will definitely be back next year :o)

In short: A fantastic choice for my first Half Marathon in fantastic surroundings which made the hills seem less steep :O) Very well organised and the marshalls were excellent and enthusiastic - especially the ones on the corner after the play area :O)
