In short: A must, Brighton you are the best!!!
In full: This was my first ever marathon and enjoyed every minute, even when the going got tough. Brighton really knows how to put on a show and the the organisation of this event was fantastic. The crowds were amazing aswell as the marshalls, volunteers etc. Can't really add anything more than others have said appart from if you want to run your first marathon then Brighton really is the place to do it. Lets hope it doesn't lose it's edge by gettting as big as VLM.

In full: This was my first 21mile race and I completed it in prep for the Brighton marathon and very enjoyable. Friendly runners, very well organised and it wasn't which is always a bonus. I especially liked the idea of having the option of either running 15miles or 21 miles on the day. The jelly babies and medal were an added bonus. Would enjoy doing this race again.

In short: This was my first Half Marathon race and although I thoroughly enjoyed it I was extremely disapointed with the organisation.
In full: Obviously feeling a little anxious as this was my first I found the lack of organisation just added to my anxiety. I felt the following could have been avoidable:
*Massive que to the bag drop and bag drop not manned so free for all!
*Lack of ladies toilets; not enough toilets provided before the start of the race for the sheer volume of people and once into the race we found the ladies loo's were locked along the course!!
*No mile markers....what's that about.
*Far far too many runners, very dangerous at times, especially with pedestrians
*Terrible finish. Sudden stop due to the build up of runners and had to wait to cross finish line. Added 3 mins to my time and more importantly, not able to cool down or stretch!
