In short: Good organisation & vocal marshalls. Great tech t-shirt In full: Other than a rather warm morning making this race a bit tougher, the organisation was good as were the facilities & location. Great to have water bottles too rather than cups.
Lovely tech t-shirt and thank you to the marshall on the corner (before the funnel on the field) who gave lots of encouragement saying "take him, pick him off" & got me another PB. Date of review: August 2, 2011

In short: A challenging but enjoyable race + cake at the end In full: On finding out this was a hilly race only 2 days before, I was a little apprehensive, but then again where I run I can't avoid undulating terrain. This seemed a very clubby race (admittedly I was with my club too), and a fairly small field, so again apprehensive at being at the back of the pack. Well, to sum up, yes it was a tough race, and don't think I've ever run down hills so steep, though uphills were ok, and the last half mile is a very quick downhill. My legs felt like they were running away from me, but WHAT A FINISH! Lots of cheering from everyone, and being able to run so quick into the finish (not like some where you can see the finish but it never seems to get closer). Best of all was getting a new PB by nearly 6mins was great. Cheap race but free cake would be a nice touch. Date of review: July 18, 2011

In short: What an amazing race - loved it - great marshalls - great scenary In full: y first NF10. I am so glad I was roped into doing this race. I loved watching the running horses, the highland cow who watched us go by closely, the vocal support of the marshalls & general public too. Even the undulating terrain was ok, even if the legs did tire a little between 8-9. The weather was pretty much perfect too. Have already raved to fellow running mates to book early to do this one next year. Hope to be back all going well next year :-) Date of review: July 10, 2011

In short: Super slick orgainsation & definate PB potential for all In full: This was my first for the Silverstone 10k, and after my Half disappointment there, this one changed all that. The organisation was so slick. from registering on the eve, collecting my number, access to toilets, parking and baggage storage. Silson Runners do themselves proud. The only odd thing compared to the Addidas Half, was the eery silence around the track, except for the sound of footfall. Really great turnout too for a mid-week evening race. Will most certainly be back next year to bag another PB. Date of review: June 1, 2011

In short: Lovely short scenic race In full: I really enjoyed this local race last year & look forward to running it again this year. The organisation was good, and really nice to have locals stepping out form their homes & cheering everyone on. A few mild undulations but short enough to not worry about. Good t-shirt, & bacon butties & pub at the end excellant. Date of review: May 23, 2011

In short: Very enjoyable race - some good "undulations" to test the legs In full: This was my first race last year & didn't enjoy it as I'd not done hills til that point. This year was different - I was prepared - now with a fabulous run club - I loved the race this time, even with all its bumps/undulations (some may call these hills). Great support too. Just wished I grabbed the M not S t-shirt.....oops Date of review: May 3, 2011

In short: + Got a great PBCould have been so much more.....disappointed In full: Very disappointed with organisation & marshalls. I'm not quickest of runners, but towards end marshalls had gone. Thankfully remembered which paths to run down. Date of review: November 29, 2010

In short: Well organised. Very supportive marshalls & encouraging local walkers. In full: Firstly I would like to say a big thank you to the lady at the stadium who gave phone directions as we were incredibly lost (& late), and a massive tahnk you to the very kind lady who offered me & my running buddy a lift to the start as we would have missed out on running the race (we were the one's in bright orange & pink!) On to the race, well it was a trek to get there, but was well worth it, & reckon I'll enjoy it more next year as long as I get there in good time! Marshalls were great, and route well directed. The short sharp hill to the bridge each way caught me out as was thinking the route was entirely flat, but still a a good race. Was definately a bonus having the timing chip & results out so soon, and very nice to get a tech t-shirt rather than the normal cotton ones. Choice of free cake and tea/coffee was the icing on the cake. A big thumbs up to Bedford Harriers. Date of review: September 5, 2010

In short: Good organisation, nice location & great goody bag In full: Good pooints = Great goody bag with decent t-shirt, matching water bottle & hi-viz arm/leg bands. Not so good = Rather warm, surprising short sharp hills, & would have preferred one lap, rather than doing one, then knowing what you have to come on the 2nd, but this is a personal preference. In short: Really well organised. Lots of friendly marshalls & locals out supporting. Brilliant. In full: Being local I have been running the route for a number of months, but nothing could have prepared me for what the farmers dumped up on the airfield. At least it did make me run a little quicker...for a few seconds, and tested my gag-reflexes! Really nice personal touch with the commentary, and to have recovery drinks, fruit and a goody bag was a good reward. Medal would be good for next year though, and a road closure for the final stretch. Many thanks to BDRC and all their supporters. See you next year :-D Date of review: June 14, 2010
