In short: Very well organised and enjoyable race
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed todays race :) I was concerned that 3 laps would be a bit dull, but there's plenty of wildlife and scenery to keep things interesting. The support was great and I'm very thankful to the marshalls who let me race even though I showed up five minutes after the race had started...! Great value for money - once you've raced you can stay and enjoy the zoo for the rest of the day (race entry for unaffiliated was 18pounds, zoo entry is 20pounds). I will be back next year :)

In short: Well organised and welcoming race
In full: This was my first 10K race and I had an amazing time.

I work in London so I didn't think I would be overly impressed with the scenery, but it was very special to get to run along closed roads. The wave start worked really well - each of the nine waves had its own countdown, which made me forget that the first runners had started 20 minutes before I did. There was plenty of crowd support, and I liked the rhythmical drumming at random intervals along the route. After the race there were plenty of signs to help people navigate their way around the (large) runners only area. There was lots of space at the finish to allow people to stretch and walk around without getting in the way of other runners. Baggage reclaim was fast and easy and the goody bag was decent - a nice t-shirt, shiny medal and a bottle of Lucozade being the best bits. The meeting place for family and friends was also easy to find, and being close to the tube home was perfect.

My only negative comment about this race is that it gets pretty narrow in places, making it hard to keep a steady pace, but I can't figure out how the organisers could use wider roads and still keep the course at 10K.

Overall the organisation for this race was excellent and I will definitely do it again next year.
