In short: 1st time running event In full: nice touch with transport to start may be a little early, may could have done with some more toilets but as usual every one left it late to go. the split start was a very good idea, i started in the 2nd wave watched the bottle neck from the 1st wave on the canal path at the start. the route was not surprisingly muddy due to the amount of rain but not a problem the marshals were excellent as usual, plenty of water stops and clear mile markers, may be the finish was a long way from the car park and had to walk a long way but it was free. will i do it again next year YES Date of review: November 12, 2012

In short: got to be good 4th time running In full: My 4th running of event, well organised and for a good cause Grove house hospice, this year the course was muddy in parts and country lanes large puddles in parts which made it challenging Water points well located but could have done with small bottles with sports caps on rather the large ones my only moan, mars bar and water and nice medal at finish Date of review: October 15, 2012

In short: 1st time running enjoyed In full: stated off well slight bottle neck at start as runners jostled for position, but can not understand why they took use through an under pass no room to move, and the baggage pick up the queue was long but was managed well that it the only moaning i have about such a well organised race the marshals as always were supportive and views around the course ranged from the river Thames to large spaces of open fields and through some nice villages over all a good race Date of review: September 16, 2012

In short: 4th time running so the organizers must be doing some thing right In full: it was my 4th time running the event, organization was good, agree with some comments about toilets not enough, on the course plenty of water stops but wish they could get a suppler using bottle instead of the plastic cups if only on a couple of stops, that is my only moan, glad to see that they widened the start which made it easier in stead of fighting our way through a small gap and the ban on mp3 plays was a good idea. at the finish there was plenty of fluid lucozade, water and the all important ice lolly, tee shirt (which fits) and the medal (wish they could change the design as it has been the same for 4 years) roll on next year Date of review: June 11, 2012

In short: 2nd year of running, what a difference with the route changed for the Olympic marathon, In full: there were some reports from people with Garmin watches that the course was slightly over the the 10k, only 2 moans about the day was that the water stop wish they could have put them on both sides instead of the one at 3k as a lot of runners cut others up to get to water and the 2nd they said there would be water misters at 5k but when i got to them they were not working, other than that it was well organised and well run and the music was very up lifting looking forward to next year, may be will not be so hot Date of review: May 28, 2012
